Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong To Welcome Back Pierre Gagnaire, Host G20 Of Cooking Next Month

Gastronomes in Hong Kong take note! The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong has lined up a series of culinary events in July and August 2010, welcoming back 3-Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire for a 1-week visit who will showcase an 8-course tasting menu, as well as hosting a gala dinner with chefs of the G20 of cooking next month.

 

Pierre Gagnaire Presents Les Saveurs d’Ete

Celebrated French chef Pierre Gagnaire returns to the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong next week to present a special 8-course tasting menu from 14 to 22 July 2010 at the one-Michelin-starred Pierre. The special “Les Saveurs d’Ete” will showcase the varied flavours of a French summer in his inimitable style and will be available for lunch and dinner, priced at HKD 1,688 per person.

G20 of Cooking Gathers at The Connaught Room

Next month, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong will also play host to 20 exceptional chefs dubbed the G20 of Cooking. Formerly known as the Club Des Chefs Des Chefs, the group’s members have served luminaries and world leaders at institutions including Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, the White House, Buckingham Palace and Paris’ Elysee Palace.

 

A gala dinner will be held in The Connaught Room with each chef hosting a table of 8, offering not only world-class cuisine but also an insider look into what goes on in the kitchens of some of the most powerful people in the world. Each table is priced at HKD 12,000 plus 10 percent for the 6-course dinner with wine.
